Investigators were deployed to a market in Montreal, Ontario, Canada where they attended a merchant that had make-up products displayed on a table bearing the brand logo, name, product cases and designs of one of the highest price point make-up products in Canada. The owner of the booth and their employees were identified, video recorded, business cards obtained, several products purchased and sent to a lab for analysis. Results came back that the product being sold was not the make-up company being presented and advertised. Lawyers were then able to sue the company and to get the company removed from markets in Montreal.
